Counseling provided by Licensed Professionals

HOPE Counseling & Addiction Services offers drug and alcohol treatment for adults, aged 18 years and older and are provided in conjunction with a 24 hour structured Christian-based residential living program offered through Adult & Teen Challenge Ohio Valley. Addiction counselors help patients overcome dependence on drugs, alcohol, and destructive behaviors like gambling. Counselors intervene when patients are often at the lowest points in their struggles with addiction. The HOPE certified drug and alcohol dependency counselors help our clients peel back the layers of why they chose drugs and alcohol, then develop a plan of action to begin living a healthy sober lifestyle. The HOPE Chemical Dependency Counselors are passionate about what they do and are eager to help our clients live free from addiction.

Services and Levels of Care

A person struggling with substance abuse addiction may be any place on the addiction spectrum. A professional assessment can be made at the earliest signs of a developing addiction or well into a fully-developed addiction. Early warning signs of an addiction can halt the process of dependency, turning an individual away from harmful behaviors that can be detrimental to their health.

ASAM Levels of Care

  • Partial Hospitalization
  • Intensive Outpatient
  • Outpatient

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP):

Patients receiving services in this level of care are provided with clinical counseling services 5 days per week, with group therapy sessions scheduled 9am-11:30am and 12:30pm-2:00pm each day. Individual sessions, such as psychotherapy, treatment planning, and case management services occur weekly and scheduled by the patient’s therapist and case manager. Patients are provided with a variety of coping skills, recovery and addiction knowledge, strengths-based psychotherapy, and case management services to assist the patient with decreasing barriers, increasing emotional stability, addressing immediate recovery-related needs, and establishing sober structure and routine.

Intensive Outpatient (IOP):

Patients receiving services in this level of care are provided with scheduled group therapy sessions, occurring 3 days per week, 3 hours per day. Individual sessions, such as psychotherapy, treatment planning, and case management services are scheduled by the patient’s therapist and case manager dependent upon individual patient needs. During the intensive outpatient phase of treatment, services become increasingly individualized and core issues are identified and expounded upon during individual psychotherapy and group therapy sessions.

Outpatient Services (OP):

Patients receiving services in this level of care are provided with scheduled group therapy sessions, occurring 2 days per week, 2 hours per day. Individual sessions, such as psychotherapy, treatment planning, and case management services are scheduled by the patient’s assigned clinicians, dependent upon individual needs. During the outpatient phase of treatment, services are tailored to each patient’s therapeutic need to provide ongoing sober monitoring and support while the patient begins to put tools and skills they have acquired during earlier treatment into life practices.
