General Questions
Is ATCOV just for teens?
No, we accept individuals who are of 18 years or older. If you are searching for a center that serves adolescent-aged individuals, please consult our national website to find a center that offers what you need.
What should I expect from ATCOV?
We are a drug, alcohol, and tobacco free facility. Therefore, we do not allow any kind of tobacco products within the grounds of our facility.
At Adult & Teen Challenge we base our philosophy and curriculum for addiction recovery on God’s Word – the Bible. Our 200+ adult and adolescent locations offer practical, Bible-based courses. These classes facilitate the transition from alcoholism and substance abuse to a life of hope and freedom in Christ.
We feel our role is to provide the most conducive environment possible for the healing of the client with life-controlling problems. All parts of the client’s day are created to help the needs of the whole person, not just their drug problem.

We are a Christian Faith-Based program; however, we have partnered with HOPE Counseling & Addiction Services to provide counseling services with licensed individuals. A client can expect to receive the utmost quality of care.
Why is Adult and Teen Challenge effective?
We call it the “Jesus Factor.” We do more than help an individual learn to live life free of drugs. We help them build a relationship with Jesus Christ and in so doing they become a new creation with all of the freedom attached.

How long is the program?
The program at Adult & Teen Challenge Ohio Valley is a year long in its entirety, which is separated into 4 different phases. Once a client is accepted, and entered into the ATCOV program, they will be evaluated by HOPE Counseling & Addiction Services’ clinical team. Then they will begin treatment in the appropriate phase. The clients work directly with HOPE case managers who can assist them in preparing to reenter society at the phase they leave. If a client does not choose to participate in all four phases it does not mean they are unable to enter the program.

Here at ATCOV, we work with most insurance companies including Ohio Medicaid If your insurance is accepted, it will cover the cost of our program. If necessary, we can work with clients and their support systems on an individual basis.
