Making A Difference

Amy Senne started at Adult & Teen Challenge Ohio Valley in 2019 as a case manager clinician and she loves the work.
“I love what we do here,” she said. “We really make a difference in the lives of men and women who are working to change their lives.”
A 2022 graduate of San Diego Christian College with a bachelor’s degree in human development, Amy does individual and group counseling and case management with clients. She also holds a CDCA through the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professional Board.
She worked at other rehabilitation facilities including one that was faith-based before joining the ATCOV staff. “I knew I wanted to work in a faith-based program,” she said. “I know that the missing component is a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.”
Amy’s strength has always come from God and she knows in her life that’s how she’s gotten through difficult times. “I know for me, without Jesus, I would not have been able to get through the rough times in my life,” Amy explained.
She believes in the work she’s doing at ATCOV. “At the end of the day, I know I’ve made a difference.”
Amy works with clients toward the end of their time in the program and sees the transformation from when they arrived at ATCOV. “We see the men and women come in day one and they’re just a mess,” she said. “At the end of the program, I get to see all of the changes that they’ve gone through. I get to help them make plans to go back out into the world.”
She helps them apply for jobs, find housing, put together their resumes. “That’s what’s so fulfilling, seeing them become productive members of society,” Amy said.
She’s quick to point out though, that it’s not her who’s making changes in clients’ lives. “It’s God that’s made the difference,” she said. “God’s uses me as the tool…It’s all 100% God.”
